Jack

Yesterday I took some pics of my 2-year old son Jack. Nothing too serious, some pretty casual stuff. He's is a ham in front of the camera. He's at that age that he knows what a camera is and so he mr. poser now. I did learn a little something with him though. I noticed if he stops and poses, in his first shot he usually doesn't laugh or smile. But as soon as he hears the shutter click, he lights up! So I fire the camera a few more times quickly after the first. He thinks it the funniest thing for some reason.

a mother's day gift

Last week I photographed jen and paul (bride and groom from my last wedding) and paul's brother and his wife and their daughter. They wanted to have some photos taken to give to Paul and Tyler's mother for mother's day. I had to wait to post these until today, because they were not going to show her until Mother's day. This was taken downtown Springfield at the union station and in the little park area in front of the Horace Mann building. Here's some photos from that session.

Alexandria and Drake

Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Alexandria and Drake, who are the children of Shawn and Joanna Gasperson. Alexandria was born a few weeks ago, and Drake is a little over a year old. I photographed these two in their bedrooms using only natural light from the windows and then did some outside in the front yard.

katy and christopher's album

Well now that Katy and Christopher's storybook album layout has been approved, I thought I would share some of those designs. This is a 10x10 album, so when you are viewing these pages you are looking at them as if the book was spread open, making it a 10x20 page. To see more from this album, please visit my website, and you can find it in my portfolio gallery.

Jen and Paul's wedding

Last weekend I photographed Jennifer and Paul's wedding in Springfield. It very interesting how they met, because they were both serving over in Iraq. And one day Paul was sent to pick someone up. Turns out that someone was Jennifer. Low and behold they both find out there from central Illinois. To make a long story short, here they are a few years later getting married. It was great working with them. They both are super nice people and their families are great as well. Here are some photos from their day.

P.S. If anybody is reading this blog, it would be great if I could get some comments. I started this blog last month but I have no idea if anyone is reading it. So please give me a shout out.
